peewee,

Read through this LINK (http://www.hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6055&highlight=antenna), we discussed OTA antennas in some detail.

There are links to different sites and brands of antennas.

I'll check out your zip code when I've completed checking the new posts.

Geez, I should be so lucky. There are over 20 DTV stations, lots of duplication of networks. Two of them in Miami are VHF, Fox and ABC, channel 8 and 9. Get yourself a small (or medium) directional UHF/VHF antenna, you won't need an amplifier. Aim it about 185 degrees, you can refine the direction if you go to www.antennaweb.org and use your full address. Don't post your address on here (on the net). You'll notice that most of the stations are about 185 degrees, those that aren't are duplications anyway.

Check out the antennas in the link I gave you. You'll want one that has YELLOW, GREEN and maybe LIGHT GREEN wedges on the circle. This antenna should not cost $100.

Here's one for $35, its 50" long. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F003%5F001%5F002%5F000&product%5Fid=15%2D2151

They have larger ones too. When you look at these antennas please note the distances, you are not that far from the transmitters :) If you don't want an antenna on the roof, buy the bigger one and put it in the attic. You don't have to rotate it anyway.
