I am getting a zenith hdv420 reciever and i need an antenna to go along with it. I can't get an outdoor antenna because i live in a condo and its against the association rules. I am interested in the terk tv55 antenna even though i read a lot of bad reviews about it on this forum but it may be the only option i got. I seen some indoor antenna at radio shack but i don't know how reliable they are. I don't care how much it costs can somebody give me some advice whether to get the terk tv55 or the radio shack 15-1880 or 15-1870 or anyother indoor antenna that somebody knows about which is reliable in receiving digital or hd station

Tony,
Have you checked www.antennaweb.org to see what the DTV coverage is for your location. You need to check to see if an indoor will do the job for you.
Here's the link to the OTA Antenna FAQ:

A good starting point is the FAQ's and a look at www.antennaweb.org. Put in your zip code to get a general idea of what's available. If they reccommend an antenna that is in the YELLOW area your indoor might work. I tried an old RCA indoor that looks something like the 15-1838. I'm in the YELLOW area and it worked surprisingly well, but each situation is different.
If it looks like an indoor will work for you, go for the one with the most gain. I've been told several times to go BIG.
I did notice that the Terk55 doesn't have as much gain as the Radio Shack 15-1880.
If you give us your zip code we can look and see what your situation is. Please don't post your address.
Good Luck,
Lee

Thank you Lee for your reply my zipcode is 34691 and i went to http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.asp and it shows that most of my dtv stations are in the red area. I don't know how much gain I need therefore which antenna suits me best. As I said before that I am looking for an indoor antenna but don't know which one works best for my area. I am still undecided but i will look at some of the models you requested from radio shack. Let me know if u find any more information about my whereabouts for dtv stations in my area.

For indoor use skip the TERK and look at this

I seen that antenna on www.amazon.com and from what i read it got some good reviews but its only uhf and in my area some dtv stations are in vhf especially nbc therefore i must need something thats uhf/vhf unless their is a device which i can combine the silver sensor to make it vhf compatible but i don't know if thats possible or not.
