Folks,
I have been on the fence for (a long) while, and am seriously considering the RCA F38310 (at under $2,000 US), HOWEVER, (ovbiously) is does NOT have DVI or Firewire capabilities.
HOW LONG until the copy-protection scheme that is decises upon will actually go into effect?
What happens to this set, as well as all the other non-DVI/Firewire sets out there?
Why do *I* need it? Unlike some others here, I don't care about taping, or timeshifting. 99.9% of what I watch, I watch when it's on. usually, if I tape something to watch later on, the tape just sits around, unwatched.
I'm really interested in the set, but will hold off until I get these answers resolved, at least in my mind.
THANKS!
David Landsman
