View Full Version : Cable management ?

Has anyone got any bright ideas on cable management for Home Theater. I got everything setup against the rooms back wall, but other than cable ties [ my existing solution] I'm wondering about wall mounting some sort of low cost DIY cable management setup that will keep everything off the floor so cleaning and dust accumulation do not become a problem so near to the equipment.

I'm going to change all my speaker connections to banana plugs to make them easier to disconnect etc, but the rest is just a veritable birds nest. Half the problem is my TV connections are on the far side of where the receiver stack resides. Cables must run the entire length of the TV and the cable [coax] outlets are even further past in the same direction.

This is a classic case of "if only I knew then what I know now" .. heh. I think I'd be better off tearing out the dry wall on the entire back wall and re-doing it from scratch. I'd take a photo and post it to the gallery but it's embarrassing !

Any "non-drastic" ideas would be appreciated.

(I added cable management to the "If only I'd have known" FAQ. Thanks)
