Just purchased a WS-55859 projection TV. Living in Florida we have numerous storm-related power outages. after one, TV won't respond. Timer light just flashing. Using System Reset doesn't help.
Any siggestions.

Kinda sounds like you need to set the clock. Select the CLOCK icon on the MENU screen. You will probably find the clock either set on 12:00 am Sunday on or a time/day totally wrong. Just set the time to the proper value (and be sure to hit ENTER) then back out of the MENU screen and you should find that your light is on solid.
Better learn to do this manuver by heart because you will get the same symptom each time you loose power - at least that's my experience.

Lexibug:Had the same thing happen to me tonight after I just brought home this ws-55859. After reading some posts it sounds like some board is out and the unit needs to be replaced. I am calling my retailer Frys who I purchased this from tommorrow for a replacement. I tried the same things as you but cant get the dtv to do anything.
