ESPN-"HD" at my Local Bar

Just has to comment on ESPN-"HD"

The "lovely bride" and I go to a local bar every Friday after work for a few beers and a sandwich. Well, we walk into the dining area and there's this big sign that says, "We now have Plasma HDTV".

So, I look up at a this widscreen plasma and what's on but ESPN. I have to say... I gagged!! Here's all this sports stuff going on and they are all stretched!! Egads!!!

I am now VERY happy that I have not jumped onto the cable/satellite HD bandwagon and pay extra for that crap!

And to think that I have actually financed that tiny plasma and the extra monthly subscription to see Randy Johnson reduced to 5'10 and 325 lbs.!

When we were in Vegas this summer, we went to ESPN's big fancy-smansy bar and restaurant...........impressive viewing setup with lots of big screens and high-tech gizmos...........but the first thing you notice is exactly what I notice everytime I turn on ESPN-"HD" - STRETCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHING.....

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! HATED IT! and I do everytime I flip thru ESPN-"HD"

gawd that sucks! and you know how I feel about stretching.....
