Try (in sequence - not all together):
SLP-MUST-AV-MENU on the remote control. You can then switch pages of the setup menu with the numbered channel keys and change settings with the left-right buttons, and selections in each menu with the up-down buttons.
From looking at the service manual - this isn't something I'm going to mess with real soon. If you go to change anything, mark what the setting were before - you want to be able to get back to those settings.
BTW - also found the set uses a Pixelworks PW1235 Video Signal Processor - which does all the de-interlace functions, D-A conversion, color space conversion, scaling and lots more.

HTH,
Oh - important - to get out of the service menu, press 0 or SLP again. To go back to factory settings (I assume this sentence means this "Press MUTE button to preset before Out-Factory) press MUTE.

Does anyone happen to have the service manual or at least the factory settings for the service menus?

Hi, my name is Marcus and i'm new to this forum. I also would like to know if any one could post the factory settings for the Advent. It's an excellent HDTV. I hate to say that I have only seen 480p on this TV but I heard that it is one of the few TV's that will display 720p and 1080i. I would like to know if anyone seen those formats running on the Advent (Jensen, Audiovox, Acoustic Research.
Lamborghini was once an unheard of name,(and so was Sony believe it or not) don't knock it till you try it.

do the factory settings have some sort of option to turn off auto-contrast? (aside from turning contrast down to 15) i notice when im playing games or watching movies in high def the contrast significantly changes, really annoying after a while.
btw, played enter the matrix on my xbox (1080i) on this tv, simply amazing
