Every week the first 15 minutes of the show is in HD in full widescreen glory. The last 15 minutes however is dummied down to digital with the bars on the side. The NBC logo actually gets centered off the screen. This happens every week and it was also happening last season. I do not notice this with any other NBC shows. What gives? Any ideas?
Might be something wrong with your affiliate. Although I didn't watch all the show last night, I think I watched to about 20-25 minutes. It was HD all that way on Detroit NBC.
I've tried watching Frasier several times this year, but it's simply not funny to me any more. That's why I tuned away the last couple of weeks. I stuck it out until he polished off his date's ravioli, how embarrassing.

Another show (there are so many) that just overstayed its welcome.

I'm watching via Comcast in NJ. I believe it's the New York NBC affiliate. Like I said before the first 15 minutes are in HD the last 15 aren't. Did you see the episode a couple of weeks ago with Patrick Stewart? I thought that one was pretty funny...
Unfortunately I missed that one because I was out of town. I usually tape the episodes when I'm away, just in case, but that night something else was on that I considered more important. Perhaps I can catch it in reruns.
