Not sure which forum this should have been added, but here goes:

I have Direcway two-way internet service, as well as Directv. I use the Direcway dish obviously, plus the directv LNB installed on the direcway dish for TV.

I recently took advantage of the $399 Directv HD upgrade offer. I figured the installer would just install the required new directv HD triple LNB dish (I didn't have a problem w/ having two dishes). He showed up, but indicated since I have Direcway he can in no way touch the Direcway dish due to FCC regs (which I guess I undertand). I figured he could just run the four coaxes from the new dish in, but then he said that would be a 'new' installation, not an upgrade. I made the mistake of assuming since it is the same company that Directv knew I had Direcway.

I called Directv, which forwarded me to Direcway. Anyways, apparently Direcway has a Sat-C kit which can go on the Direcway dish to get the HD signals. I'm waiting for a Direcway installer to get back to me on scheduling. Hopefully, since this is even easier there is part of the package. I already received the Samsung 160 and have it set up for OTA (it works great).

It almost seemed as though I was the first person w/ Direcway to get HD through Directv. I know that can't be the case, so I'm wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.

I do not have direcway but if you want to get HDNET and HBOHD you need to get a three lnb dish because they are on the 119 satellite ,unless direcway has another option.
