View Full Version : Recently purchased the C32V37
I receive 3 high definition channels from an antennae in my attic. However, on two of the channels, the television is making a "chirping" sound -- like a really hyper cricket. The sound remains the same even if the volume is at zero level or muted. I can raise the sound to mask it, but it's still very annoying.
Any ideas?? Is there something I can do to adjust this or do I need to exchange it??? I am pretty happy with the set otherwise.

I have the same noise on the Zenith C32V37 I recently bought ... only happens on the local ABC station though ... and it, fortunately is a rather soft sound on my set. I've just decided that, for the price ($948.00) 1 "problem" HD / DTV channel out of 15 isn't bad. I, too, am very happy with the set otherwise. Good Luck. :santa:

Just picked this one up today. I must say, I'm very impressed with the capability. I get 4 DTV stations and no abnormal sounds on any of them. Maybe your trouble is the broadcast station's??

I got my C32V37 about 10 days ago, and once I learned how to do it, it brought in about 10 Digital OTA channels. A couple of times a couple of them have dropped out, and then came back again (I guess the signal got interrupted), but I've had no abnormal audio problems using the C32V37 integrated tuner.

My C32V37 emits a very minor chirping from its upper right corner when displaying 720p over-the-air broadcasts, which ABC affiliates put out.

I also bought this TV and love it. I have Dish Network and have not spent the 200$ to 400$ thats needed to get there HDTV Reciever. They only offer 4 channels so why spend the cash when my TV picks up 12 channels of DTV. I have two ABCs one that is always at 720p and the other that is at normal 480i. NBC just turned on there DTV station and it's great to watch Leno in HDTV. I also get CBS in 1080i and I watch this channel the most now, becase they by offer the most HD out of the stations. My CBS also brodcasts UPN off the same signal. We didn't have a UPN affilate unil they started doing this. I also get four PBS stations and watch Frontline and other programs that look amazing on this TV. I like the fact that this TV is 4:3 bacause 90% of is in 4:3. I like that all lines of res are used on the 16:9 imagine and nome are wasted. I often zoom in on many programs though in 16:9 at times. I believe in the gorvernmet making TV companies put this new tuners in the TVs. I didn't have to spend 200$ to get a decoder to watch my locals. This TV is terrefic and can't wait for football season again! I also play alot of videogames and my Xbox runs perfect with this set. Soul Caliber and other games are made for 720p if you tv can handle it and this one can!
