My tv also makes loud noise, but assuming everyone elses set does the same thing guess it is normal

Could you be more specific? What model of Sony TV do you have and when does it make a sound? If it makes a sounds when you turn it on it could be because it is "degaussing", which is OK, normal, good to happen. Tell us the specifics so we can help.
