I have a Sony 34" Widescreen. When I run the Video THX Optimizer, there's a screen with a circle inside a very large box. From this, I can see that the horizontal on my picture needs to be adjusted. The left side of the box is cut off. I've used the vertical adjustment feature on the menu, and also the Tilt correction. But I don't see how I would adjust the horizontal? Does anyone have any ideas, or should I return the TV and get a different (I'm still in the 30 day window from Circuit City).
Thanks.
You typically need to go into the service menu for this adjustment. If the rest of the TV is fine, perhaps a quick service call would suffice, or if you're adventuresome, you can do it yourself.

Do you know HOW to get into the Service Mode? I tried calling Sony to ask them, and 36 minutes later, the guy still couldn't fix it. It's such a minor issue, but then again, I paid good money for this TV.

I have the same problem on my kv34hs420 set... the left side of the THX double line is cut off... It is pretty annoying... I cannot find this service mode either but would love to hear about it if you do. If I find out I will post to this board.
A quick word of caution, if you do get into 'service mode' please write down the values before changing anything.
You've probably seen a few posts lately by folks who screwed up their sets by changing settings and didn't have the values to get back.
Be careful,
Lee
