I have a Sony 34" HS510 HDTV. I am noticing now that the upper right and left hand corners of the picture 'bend" down a bit. Anyone know what causes that and how to fix? Botrtom looks fine. Could it be degaussing not working?
In fact, now that I look at my PC monitor...the upper corners appear to bend a bit upward.
Bending inward is barrel distortion. Bending outward is pincushion. There may be user settings to adjust this, there may not be. If not, call for technical assistance to fix it, but if it's not really bad, you may wish to wait a while to see if anything else bothers you and get it all fixed at the same time.
It may not be possible to get "perfection", but it should be pretty unnoticeable.
It is not a degaussing issue - that affects colours.

Thanks guys for the reply! Well, it is noticeable to me anyway especially if graphics are at the top of the screen. regular moving pictures cant notice it...and it seems any HD broadcast it doesnt happen!? If I say nothing to the family, they probably wont notice it anyway...
BUt, I hope it doesnt get worse?! Gee, I only had the TV for 6 months now. Didnt buy the warranty :( Picture is awesome otherwise.

Well, can you believe that according to the Operating Instructions booklet, it says 90 day warranty! I thought it was a year too! Anyone know if maybe it was updated to 1 year??
I have a Sony KV-34HS510
On closer examination...the bending seems more noticeable on SD channels in the "full" (stretch) mode. HD broadcasts hardly or not noticeable.
