I have been looking at buying a Sanyo PLV-Z2 which has a native resolution of 1280 x 720. The reviews I have been reading are completely positive, but does anyone out there have any first-hand experience with this unit? This is a brand new model as of 11/03 (I assume), and for a $1900.00 street price, it looks hard to pass up.
Thanks

I've had my Z2 for about 2 month and my HD from Adelphia for 1 week. All I can say is wow. I thought the picture was amazing when I watch DVD's, but HD blows it out of the water. I'm projecting 106" dia and viewing from 13'. I've watched Tarzan (anim), Crossing Jordan, Aliase and each show is amazing. The depth of the picture, the color and of course the sound! The only thing to watch with a Z2 is light control in the room. It has decent lumens, but will wash out very quickly if excessive light is introduced into the room. I also run a computer thru the projector and I cannot think of a better way to surf then on the big screen.
Here's a ProjectorCentral shootout you might find interesting.

LeeS is right. That is a great article. That one helped me make my decision. I have to mount my projector off center from the screen and the lens shift on the Z2 is perfect for the job. I bought my unit from projectorpeople.com for $2000. The sales person was very helpfull.
