Is it exactly the same as the SA4200. I know it has the added features for the hdtv. Does the guide work the same? Does it still show what is in while you change the channel the same way? I am just wondering because I am getting the box on 12/24.

yes eric-the new box is the same as the old-EXCEPT it will have component outputs--same as the dvd player--the old box doesnt-and if you have HDTV he will prob set at 1080i-a tip-to change and experiment-turn on box and tv--turn off BOX only--then hold and press in two top left buttons-info and guide i believe-answer quests and set at what you like-480i-720-etc-but rem one thing-wide ,zoom etc wont work at 1080i or 720p--you will get the bars on HDTV which i find unliveable if you select any other setting-and to STRETCH them is pure distortion-as you will see-live with the grey bars-and set at 1080i as it should be set--good luck-its all a matter of taste-up to you in the end

Actually, if I am watching a Standard Def. Program with my 4200HD set on 1080i the stretch and zoom DO work..
This is something I just recently noticed, I would not be surpised if there was a firmware update that was sent recently.. because I don't recall being able to do this in the past.
