I have a 48"wide slot avail. for a set.The 40 xbr has the best pq I have seen in a 40 or over unit,but this display is rather small compared to the Hitachi 50 4:3 that currently occupies this space.After quite a bit of research I have decided to wait until DLP,LcOS,LCD and projection technology"matures"a bit more and prices fall to realistic levels.In the meantime I am going to get a new HDTV.I realize that no RPTV-CRT will equal a direct view set.My question is this:Is there ANY RPTV (CRT only) that comes verrrrrrry close to the XBR from 40" to approx. 55" in. screen size that has I excellent picture quality for HD,satellite,DVD and gaming.Seating position is 13 feet from the screen in a room that has very good light control.The majority of my viewing is 4:3 Dishnetwork.I may be able to squeeze a couple of inches more width with a great deal of work....don't ask!This forum has been a great help to me and I would like to thank all you "pixelheads" in advance!
