My JVC AV30WP30 56" TV has a great picture except when I'm watching a HD program being fed to my TV thru the DVI input from the Samsung SIR-T165 set-top box. The problem is that the picture has a heavy green tint and indoor shots look like the people are in a dark room. When the picture signal is fed thru component video from the T165 to the JVC set, the picture doesn' t have the green tint, but is still lacks brightness compared to other inputs such as cable and 480i stations.
Does anyone else with this 56" JVC set have the T165 box? Do you have a similar problem???? Thanks for the feedback.

I finally found out that the horiz.-shift-right problem is a Samsung sir-t165 prob. with DVI input, not a JVC hdtv problem. I contacted Samsung for a firmware upgrade. I have ver. 112, and it needs to be higher than ver. 122 to center the DVI picture.
I plan to do the upgrade with my computer at home soon. If anyone else is interested in this fix, leave a reply post.

Yes I am interested...
I have a Samsung SIR-T451 HD Tuner.... How did you get the update? Who did you contact?, etc.
I'd like to update my unit..... and I'd really like to find a (free) Service Manual for the SIR-T451to see if there are ANY adjustments in the Service menu for adjusting overscan, the amount of stretch in the various modes. I had a Motorola that did a GOOD job of stretching and auto switching when getting a 4x3 signal.... Samsung is brain dead and has to be manually switched, and does a piss poor job /looks like crap.
