I just got the DVE disk today and was wondering about something. When I watch the disk (DVD) and I'm running all these tests to set up the video, will it only apply when I'm watching my DVD player with the composite inputs? What about regular TV? (S-Video input) Know what I mean?
Depends on the TV and the type of adjustment. Some settings are "global" while others are input or display specific (480i, 480P, 1080i, etc).
You can usually tell by making an adjustment on composite and seeing if that change has taken place on s-video for example. If it has not, then you need to do the adjustment on each input and each input type (composite, S-video, Component video). Sometimes you just need to transfer the "settings" .
For example if you find a contrast of 40 is good on one input, you may wish simply to transfer that number to the other input. This is really TV specific though and a "transfer" may not be as good as a proper setup on each...
