Just wondering if anyone has this box yet which also includes a DVR hard drive as well. I can't wait to get this and I hope the cable companies will start rolling this out.

If you do a search on the site for *8000HD, you will find a couple of threads with people who just got theirs very recently. No reviews as of yet.

I did end up whipping up a review of the 8000HD in the reviews section. I'm not able to break down all the nuts and bolts of a HD box, but at least you'll get the idea that I like it. I really, really like it.

I have had the SA8000HD for about 2 weeks. Box really works well. It performs almost exactly like its SD sister, but seems to be much more stable. It can record two HD shows and playback one HD show at the same time. My STB has a 160GB harddrive and it can record about 20 hours of HD content. It has a toslink and coax digital out. It also has a DVI output as well as SD outputs. This two outputs are not active yet and will not be active until a March firmware update. HD component out are active and both difgital outs do work. The box rents for $4.95 above the regualar box rental of $9.95.
My provider is Time Warner Cable South Carolina.
