View Full Version : ooohhh yeah!
I am getting my 811 from dishnetwork installed Monday at 12. I left Dtv for Dish because of the free 811 reciever, Dtv would only come down on their price to $150 for their reciever so I had to cut them loose. So now if I can get my antenna to work I to will be watching the superbowl in high definition. The only reason for this post is my wife don't understand my excitment so I thought I would post it here.
Be assured that we understand.
Aww no fair! I signed up on 1/10 and was given an intsall date of 2/07. When did you sign up? And did you go with the free dish promo or dhp promo?
I got it from a local installer on Thursday, they wanted to install on the next day but I had to put it off till Monday because of work and some family engagements. I asked them if I would own the equipment and they said yes so if I understand it's not the home plan.
Oh well you're really lucky to have a local retailer near you that has the equipment. Where are you located? All my dealers didn’t have the equipment so they still had to get it through dish and pass it on to me :(
My activation through the dealer was only 29.99 so it was like they are paying me $20 bucks to get it through them.
Well enjoy the dish. I can't wait for mine, I have adelphia right now :( so it will really to have some change
I am in rural Iowa, I would have to guess that the market for hd here is rather small, that could explain why they had recievers on hand. Most of the people I know have no clue what I'm talking about when I try to explain the difference between hd and sd. The majority of the area still has analog cable for god sakes!
One question. Is 811 an OTA and satellite receiver or for satellite only? Thanks.

Yeah I've got analog right now, adelphia's rates are so high it's pathetic. I will be getting HD and 15 more channels at 44.98 from dish which is $5 less than my current adelphia analog cable bill!
