View Full Version : Directv HD CBS channels

Good morning,
I just checked the CBSHD feed. I have a 16by9 Hitachi and the feed is only in 4:3 is CBSHD only in primetime or is it all the time. My other HD channels are fine. Anyone else having same thing happen to them.

Other than the Superbowl, there will likely be no HD programming before 8 pm (or 7pm, depending on your time zone). Even then, not all network shows in prime time are in HD. Cold Case, CSI, Without a Trace: YES; Survivor, 60 Minutes: NO.

Turned on the TV today here in the San Fernando Valley (LA) and I am getting CBS through Directv on channel 81 in beautiful HD! Excellent! Just in time for superbowl!

I turned to channel 80 hoping to see CBS-HD feed but instead have a the message "call ext. 721", Called Dave and they said we are not eligiable because CBS dosen't own WGCL-CBS 46 in Atlanta. 2 weeks ago I called the about 5x and they said we would have it. Talked to the manager on hand and they tried to apologize because they said originally we were eligiable but on Jan 29th CBS called and said they had to get permission from affiliate stations who have broadcast rights of their signal. What a waste! I pay the same amount as everyone else and this is all I get, AN APOLOGY! Screw this, Im switching to Comcast!!!!

All these shows except Survivor and 60 minutes come in in HD here in Memphis Tn. I watch Cold case and CSI every week in HD
on TWC

Yes..I am in PHilly!!! I too will cancel my D* now that I have called 8 times and never gotten an answer in the last 2 days!!
