Hey Houston TWC customers,

I just heard from my source at TWC in Houston that HDnet will be available on February 12 (next week). How funny as that is my birthday. That is a nice present. However, she told me that you have to have the silver DCT5100 all in one box in order to receive HDnet so if you still have that separate decoder attached to the other digital converter, then you need to trade them up for the all in one and then call up TWC and have them add HDnet. It may be that it will be added automatically. Either way look for it next Thursday.

[Update]

I received another email from my source. There will be an additional charge for HDnet/Movies. It will cost $3.00 for both channels. You will need to call and add them to the line up

Great news. So nice that TW takes the time to let the customers know. I called last week to ask about new channels and the rep I got said she had heard nothing. Wish we had your contacts.

Thanks for the scoop.

getting those two channels is good, but 3 bucks seems abit much for 2 channels.

I agree gator. That is why I am gonna wait until later. HDnet is not that important to me right now. I got plenty of channels to keep me busy.
