I was the first person in my local city to have the 811 Receiver installed with the SuperDish setup this past December. I am running a twin 811 setup with the HD package on both of them. I have had the problems everyone in the forum has been talking about since the very beginning. The problems I have had are the following:
1. Check Switch problem
2. Dark picture on the SD channels
3. Audio Disappearing
4. Receiver has locked up twice.
5. Programming guide does not show 2 days of programming
I am using an S-video cable for the SD channels and a DVI cable for the HD channels.
Just talked to Dish Network two days ago and the good news is that the problems look like they are software related so that when they get the updates, they can just beam them down in the middle of the night. There are two updates that will be coming out in the near future. The current software is version 263 I think. Version 264 and 265 are next. They gave no timeframe but are working on them as we speak. The Dish rep admitted that these problems above do exist and they only exist on the 811 receiver.
