I purchased a Sony 40XBR800 about 3 months ago and had nothing but problems. While watching DTV the picture looked like a picture on your computer that was enlarged too big. Sports looked like crap. Then the dreaded color blotches in the corners that would come and go. I was able to return the tv at Circuit City and I purchased a Panasonic HD RPTV. What a difference, Im very happy now :D Bottom line is I wouldn't buy a Sony 40XBR800. This is my opinion, just letting you know about my experience.
