I have a Panasonic 47" Widescreen HDTV. If I would happen to get "burn-in" (and let's hope I don't!!) What parts would have to be replaced? And what do those parts cost? Labor? Does anyone have any idea?

An actual "burn-in" (as opposed to uneven phosphor wear) cannot be fixed without replacing the three CRTs (picture tubes) at a cost of around $1K.
If you just follow everyone's advice at this and every other forum devoted to HDTV and turn DOWN the contrast and brightness to approximately half of the maximum settings, you'll be well on your way to many years of viewing pleasure with nary a trace of the dreaded "burn-in". Static, fixed images of either bright white or yellow are to be avoided as these are what cause the problem.
Watching programming in different aspect ratios - with the inevitable black bars at the sides or top and bottom will cause uneven phosphor wear over a loooooong period of time, but will not "burn" anything.
