i am looking for a HDTV monitor and need some help on what to look for when comparing the 1 million different sets.

"DRC™ MultiFunction (960i/480p) Circuitry"
does this mean that it can't get the 720p, which i've read is how ABC broadcasts their signals?
also, what are some of the other features i should look for that are considered "critical" to high definition viewing? i watch lots of cable and Directv programs. sorry if this has already been addressed, did a search and didn't get any specific answers. thanks!

Depends on the set, I think... I found this out there somewhere for you:

***************************************************

"New to Sony's top-of-the-line FD Trinitron WEGA XBR® models are a 32-inch KV-32XBR400 and 36-inch KV-36XBR400. Equipped with Digital Reality Creation Multifunction circuitry, the televisions can enhance today's NTSC broadcasts by displaying images as 960i or 480p, as well as 1080i/720p with an external
set-top box."

***************************************************

...so it looks like if your set will do 1080i, it'll do 720p.

Hope this helps a little.
