Hi everybody,
I've been doing some research since I'm interested in buying a RPTV. I'm trying to compare those 2 models in terms of features and reliability but data is hard to come by.
I'll be using the TV mostly for DVD playing and game-playing (PS2 and Gamecube). My DVD player is the PS2 itself. I know it's not the greatest player so far, but it's what I have for now.
So far the main difference is the price:
Toshiba 42H83: 1939$CAD with the tv stand.
Samsung HCN4226WX: 1599$CAD with the tv stand.
I need to have some arguement as to why I should choose the Toshiba over the Samsung. I intend to buy the extended warranty but something that gives me less trouble is better in the long run.
As far as picture quality what can I expect from those 2 TVs? And I don't see much difference in features. Do both have DVI capability (not available in my area, anyway).
It's mostly a money factor right now. I intended to spend around 2100$ dollars. The Samsung would be in my budget but the Toshiba would require a little more time to amass the money. What would be better in the long run, since I intend to keep this TV at least 4-5 years.
Thanks!
