Hi,

I am new to HDTV. So far I am looking at this model. Is it really good deal for today use. It's under $3k from Goodguys. Has any ones have this particular model? Thanks for your inputs.

i would really try to stay away from sonys RPTV cause of all the issues theyve had with them.... now their LCDS seem to kick ass..... if your looking at RPTV then look at Mits, Hitachi, Toshiba, Pioneer.....

I have a similar model. Bought it in August from ABC Warehouse for $2200. I have had no issues. I have read all the posts about Sony's "flicker" issue, but have seen none of it. I calibrated the set with Sound and Vision's DVS, and it looks amazing. Good luck and happy shopping.

I've researching & checking it out at bestbuys, & goodguys. It looks great.
there were several problem with the older model 2002 I think, but not with the WS510 & WS550; Anyway, you never know but hope this new WS550 w/built-in Tuner is much better than the previous models.
After a week of research, I finally just ordered it w/ sunshine. Now it's even harder to wait for the grand 65" to arrive !!! :)
