For all that may not already know, HD is available on Adelphia in Central Maine (Lewiston). I picked up my Motorola HD box 2 weeks ago and currently receive NBC,PBS,HBO,Starz,Cinemax,Showtime and as of today NESN-HD!!
I have also heard that more channels are coming soon.

Another BC alum here that was pretty damn sad last night. But at least we lost to a quality team and hopefully Maine will bring the Championship back to Hockey East tomorrow. I'll be there rooting for Maine no matter how much it hurts.

As of 6/9 Adelphia has added HDNET & HDNET Movies. This makes their current HD line-up look like this: NBC, PBS, HBO, SHO, STARZ, MAX, HDNET, HDNET Movies, & NESN-HD. :) INHD1, INHD2 and ESPN-HD are supposed to be imminent(They're already listed in the channel guide for my ZIP which is Lewiston). Keep up the good work Adelphia!! :D

Are you getting ESPN-HD? I got a message about two weeks ago saying that I now had that, and INHD 1 and 2. ESPN has yet to show up. I called today, and of course the CSR told me to unplug my box for 30secs after his code didn't work. When that didn't work they scheduled for a service call.

Sorry I took so long to answer (on vacation). When I left on 7/18 I wasn't getting ESPN-HD but today I am. You must be getting it now. Are you? Overall, I'm pleased with Adelphia and their HD offerings.

Yes I am. A tech came out and called the special number, and viola. To bad the CSR's arent as skillful.

The Motorola 6412 was released yesterday in Lewiston. I tried it out and it's working great so far. Here's to finally being able to record HD!!

You now get ABC and Discovery?!? Awesome!! What channels are they on? I should be able to receive these too, right? Now if they can add CBS I'll be a happy man!

ABC is 708, Discovery is on 776. And according to what I just read on Adelphia.com we should now, or very soon, have NFL Network on 777!!! MERRY HD-MAS!!! Come on CBS and Fox. :overclap:

Where did you read that info on adelphia.com, I couldn't find anything on their site.

Thanks

I believe he went to the Channel Lineup page and entered his zip code. I did that using his zip and it does show NFL HD on 777.

Yes I did intially look it up in the channel line up page. However, when I got home from work I was very pleased to see that I now also have it on my TV. NFL Network in HD on 777.

Hey CapsFan, I lost my ABC-HD this weekend, I assume you did as well. I hadn't been getting any of the guide info for that channel, so I assume that has something to do with why it's down. Have you heard anything about it?

Yes. I lost it too and was very concerned with the season premiere of Alias on Wednesday. I just checked and it's now back. :) Hopefully this was just a temporary glitch. I'm not sure if this was a problem on Adelphia's end or WMTW's end but I was having trouble getting WMTW with my antenna as well. I went in to Adelphia's local office to drop off my old receiver and they didn't even know about WMTW, Disc HD or NFLnet. :rofl2: So, no point in asking them.

Within an hour of my post I had it back, and now the guide works with it. To bad there is no Monday Night Football.

Looks like we may have FOX in time for the Super Bowl. Channel is 704 is now listed in the guide. Earlier today they were showing Fox News on it, and are apparently testing the channel. It'll be awesome to watch the Super Bowl in HD, and then next month Nascar.

In todays Lewiston Sun-Journal there is an ad for Adelphia saying that the Super Bowl will in fact be shown on 704 in High Def. :wow: I wonder if this means we will now receive Fox-HD or is this just a one time deal to broadcast the Super Bowl in HD. I hope it means that we will receive Fox-HD from now on. Time will tell but I'm so psyched about the Super Bowl in HD. :hyper: After watching football in HD it's hard to watch it any other way!! Go Pats and way to go Adelphia!!!

I didn't get a chance to read the paper today, so that's great to hear. I strongly suspected it would be ready by then, but now I know for sure. They have been playing some prime time programming in HD at night, like tonight they showed the OC and Pleasant Point in HD. Based on the that I suspect we will be keeping FOX-HD (I hope).

Hey guys. Im from Auburn and just bought an HDTV compatible TV. I also have Adelphia digital cable. I was a little hesitant to upgrade to HDTV. I was wondering if I was really going to notice a differnce that justified the extra cost per month. But your enthusiasm has definatly helped me to make the decision a little easier.

Sweet....Im gettin HDTV!!

I just received an e-mail from Adelphia. They said that ESPN2-HD will go live on or about Mar. 15th. No word on CBS however(Damn Sinclair Broadcasting Group). This means we'll have the Sox/Yanks opener on April 3rd Sunday Night Baseball. Be sure and check out the NESN website also. They are broadcasting 106 Redsox games as well as the Hockey East semi's and finals in HD.

No. Very frustrating as this has been the case since the channel was added. Good luck getting anywhere with Adelphia though.
