1080i. Some of the cameras are simply SD widescreen - usually easy to spot.

Overall it looks great so far and its 5.1 here in Baltimore suburbs.

in some shots it looks great, in others it looks like SD widescreen and not very crisp and sharp..............kinda like digital cable or something
also it has sort of a 'soft', dreamy look to it from some camera angles (behind the crowd looking down on the green)
must be a combo of diff cameras being used.........

CBS Sports will use 42 high-definition cameras and 10 hand-held 16x9 standard-definition cameras to cover the event. The telecast will be produced in 1080i high-definition format to air on HD channels and then downconverted for airing on the analog broadcast. The announcers and camera shots on both telecasts will be the same.
