whats the difference between comcast hdtv and charter hdtv...besides the different channels they offer what are some of the differences...like bandwith...pic quality etc??

There should be no difference in PQ, since most cable companies simply "pass" the OTA signal directly to you, usually making 19.4 Mb/sec bandwidth available.
Not all OTA stations use the full 19.4 for HD as they may be multicasting.
