Go to www.avsforum.com and select the plasma forum.
Not too much to talk about on a Plasma forum I would think, but who knows.

Obviously not you,
if you look at the reply times on the plasma section, you'll see a new reply every 3 minutes.
That's some pretty good talk.
What are the reply times here.?
My point isn't that there would not be activity, it's that how many times could someone post just about plasma tv's? Seems like it would get boring fast. I also could careless about how fast response times are on this forum. Response times are not what I judge a forum by. It's information and good people that keep me coming back here! Where would I be with out Kevins humor or Ratmans polar opinions? That is what keeps it fresh for me.
By the way I am not dissing you on putting a plasma section here. Why would I care? If you want to post your little heart out on plasma's, go right ahead.

I'm not dissing you,
just informing you that it's a very hot technology, and a very hot forum.
Awesome to hear other plasma owners when buying/installing.
It's also very hard to do research in a store...and with a technology that's so new, the store is the only place to view 'em.
And the forum is the ONLY place I can talk to other owners of my exact plasma (settings, problems)
Thats cool George I hear yah. Can I ask you two questions? Why would you think that I would not know that plasmas are hot? You would have to be dead to not know that! LOL...... My second question, why did you buy a plasma and not an LCD? Just curious.....

...I wanted above the fireplace/all in wall (2 year old and 6 week old), and 42" was minimum with a 12-15' distance. (really wanted 50")
I couldn't find more bang for the buck than the Daewoo 42" at $1999.
(noticeably better contrast than my old Sampo 42S6 (gateway 42"))

That room has great windows George! Do you have glare? Also what speakers and receiver are you running to fill the sound in that room?

The houses faces due South, so the sun never gets directly to the back
If you look closely, I have my brothers tower speakers running just stereo.
Haven't decided if I want a whole theater sound.
Our movie days are few and far between now with the kids.
Thanks for the nice comments,
it's a very cool home for a plasma screen.!

That's apparent. However, I wonder if it is efficient. As I am about to buy a plasma, I am more interested in plasmas, per se, and not everything offered by a particular brand. In fact, I am interested in the experiences of others with various plasma brands. I could not care less about RPTVs from the same brands I am considering.
Mebbe that's why it's so quiet around here on several fronts.

thanx kal for the link, it was very helpful. also for those who think a plasma forum would be boring check out the link kal sent me. it helped me get answers to questions about burn-in, calibration, picture quality to specific brands, problems others were having with their plasma's, and it actually helped me fix a problem with my new plasma because someone else on the forum had the same problem with the same brand.
so thanx again :)

Ah-h-h-h! Plasma George!
Welcome! I believe we've had "polar opinions" and discussions elsewhere?
