I'm new to HDTV and I love it no doubt (not being new but I love HDTV ;) )!! Here's my dilemma. I have VOOM, and I LOVE SPORTS! I bought VOOM thinking they would have ESPNHD for some stupid reason I bought into their advertising campaign (wish I would of found this place sooner) and assumed by them saying the most HD Channels available that naturally ESPN HD would be included. Of course to my dismay NOT!! So I am going nuts not being able to see my sports (basketball, baseball, WHATEVER... anything but another replay of the Japanese World series from 3 months ago or SOCCER REPLAYS  ) So now I'm forced into adding either COX CABLE or upgrading my Direct TV and splurging on the HDTV Receiver! I want the most sports programming I can get. I see that INHD seems to have more sports programming than HDNET but I really don't have anything to go by except the schedules on each of their websites. Now the COX has INHD and DIRECT has HDNET BOTH had ESPN HD! I would hate to have ANOTHER BILL from COX to add in with Direct and Voom but it seems INHD is better for sports however I also heard HDNET just signed some deal for NASCAR Broadcast in HD! I'M SO CONFUSED  !! CAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS??? IS VOOM :boo2: ever going to get INHD or HDNET? I heard they are supposed to get ESPNHD but I won't hold my breath!!

As far as VOOM is concerned, I understand Mark Cuban doesn't want HDNet on there, so I would guess it won't be on. I think ESPNHD is coming very soon (weeks). INHD is (for now) a cable-only service, so I would think it would be a long time before satellites could get it.

Comcast (not sure of the others) has a lot of HD sports, with ESPNHD, INHD and Comcast Sportsnet, along with the local network HD feeds. VOOM has the best lineup of non-sports, non-local HD channels you'll probably ever find. I'm not a subscriber now, but maybe in the future if Comcast refuses to add entertainment HD channels and I move to my new apartment with a southern view.

Sorry that you've been taken in by Voom's "promises" of having "ESPN-HD and more" like many others. Voom's been promising it for some time, and have yet to deliver. :mecry:

Recently, they're even having a whole boatload of picture quality problems.

If you really want sports....ESPN-HD will be much more HD after they open their new HD studios June 7th, and you can get this, along with HD sports broadcasts from HDNet, MLS, MLB, , NHL, NBA, and NFL Ticket on DirecTV. They have more HD sports than anyone, and avoid some of the goofy other HD channels found on Voom.

Good luck!
