I have a built in tuner on my HDTV. My TV has an area that starts after the basic cable channels that goes in points 80.1 80.2 80.3 etc.. It pulls all kinds of stuff, but it pulls it in whenever it wants. I see things getting fast forwarded/rewinded all the time. The stations bounce in and out and move up a station or down if the tuner pulls in another station. It pulls movies on pay-per-view, adult channels, HDnet (comes through perfect with no interuption). What are these channels that I'm pulling? Some of these things I see start to finish and some I just get parts. Are they others peoples setup from the same cable box out at the street? I have no dish, just cable. I live in the city area. Would an antenna help me pull more stations (movie stations, HD stations, good things that aren't just local over the air) or have better use of the ones that I'm receiving. I'm new to this what is going on?

They are "In-Demand" channels.
I had an chance to evaluate a QAM tuner recently. It seems that when a new selection begins, the channels/bandwidth allocations get shuffled around. This occurs frequently and is quite annoying.

Obviously, the FF and RW is the 'purchaser' using the funtions/features available with "In-Demand".

These are 'digital cable' channels and cannot be obtained over the air with an antenna.
