any ideas where I can find such a cable? Would like to improve the picture from my dvr box (s video out) to Tv's Component input!
Any input would be appreciated
Welcome to HDTVoice! :)
Look towards the bottom of this link. The $9.95 one, pn RGB-320.

thanks for your input, but thats composite ends I'm looking for component to s-video
Sorry, misread the request.
Not something that I have had experience with. Sounds like a pricey conversion, it is not just a matter of switching wires around.
This unit was posted by another member. $600 I know this in not exactly what you are looking for.

I have one of these I got on ebay for $200 and it does as you ask. It has two S-Video inputs that output to Component. I have my Atari Jaguar and Sega Saturn hooked up to it and they look very nice running through it.

Just as an FYI, many new A/V receivers "upconvert" composite and/or S-video to component video output. Your money may be better spent upgrading this equipment rather than buying an extra box.
