!!!!!!!!! I NEED YOUR HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday, I took a copy the receipt from the website to a Sears store in DFW area and asked them if they would match the price. The salesman went to his manager which showed up a few minutes later and kept me talking for a while. At this point another guy shows up and tells me that he wants the original receipt and then he might match that price. He tells me that they dont accept copies of receipts and that this price is too low.

After asking him why cant they check with the store that the TV was purchased, I was told that he wont call them unless I have the original receipt.

When I asked him to let me talk to the manager, I found out that the guy was from Asset Protection and he accused me of altering the receipt on the computer. He told me that if I did not leave the store he would have me arrested. He then walked over to a phone and asked someone to record my action on camera. I was also told that there was an alert published to their stores regarding Phony receipts.

I was not about to be arrested for a stupid TV. I called the store back and talked to the Operations manager as soon as I left the store(Store manager was not there). Who agreed with the Asset Protection manager.

I have a great job, a large media room with HDTV projection TV and I just went out to get a deal on a TV that would go in a guest bedroom. I am not interested in stealing from a store and I was going to forget about this ordeal.

However, I do not like getting accused of altering documents and I would appreciate the help of anyone who can provide me with original receipts for this product. I would like to talk to the store and district managers about how I was treated and it would be nice to have something more than a copy of a receipt with fields blacked out.
