Hi there! I have the HCN4226W set and let me say, this is a great set for a small room, and it also delivers great quality picture and sound.. i have an HDTV terminal and im absolutely stunned by the picture.
I know how to get to the service menu.. and also im very technical and i know what im doing.. I was just asking to anyone that owns this set or knows alot about it and what settings you use? So far ive just changed my Gamma, and DPIC .. What do you set? Thanks, Ayaz |

Hi there
I've got the same tv and i love it. I do have a problem however, the perfect focus no longer works because i accidentally reset the tv. Here's the post that i placed with all the links with service menu information. The links all the way at the end. Now if you could help me out i'd appreciate it if you have any info for the pefect focus!!!! =)

Eck i see the link that is really helpfull is blanked out for some reason on my original post so I'll try again. If this doesn't work the website is *************** (with the www at the front and com at the back) and the title for the search would be Samsung TXM/TXN HD CRT monitors. Not our exact tv but it is CRT and it has info of what some of the codes are.
Here's the link again. http://www.***************.com/htsth...=&fpart=1&vc=1 Especially 3 and 8. |

Ok I ordered the service manual for this tv and found out how to fix the problem for anyone that also has this problem.
Now what you have to do is go into the convergence service menu by pressing mute 1 - 8 - 3. Once there converge your points by using the mute and p mute buttons to move from point to point and press 7, 8 and 9 to change between red green and blue. The add and erase saves your settings and smode gets you out. But hold on, getting ahead of myself...First once you've converged then save by pressing the add/erase button. Once you have saved press the perfect focus button which will now use these settings to focus your tv at later points So good luck!! |
