Sony's Uniform Brightness screen on the KP65WV700
I was originally considering the KP65WV600 and the Mits Plat + WS65611. But after seeing the WV700 I was really impressed with Sony’s Uniform Brightness Screen, it really works!
You know how sometimes you just feel like laying on the floor instead of sitting back on your recliner. Well on any other projection TV (I’ve seen so far) the picture dims as the vertical viewing angle increases (going up or down). But on the WV700 this does NOT happen! I will be watching mostly DVDs in my dimly lit HT (so brightness is not a big deal) and will be hooking up to basic satellite (not much time to watch TV really). Someone told me that the Sony does a better job with DVDs but the Mits does better with HD broadcasts. Any comments on this? Does this have something to do with Sony’s CineMotion™ Reverse 3-2 PullDown Technology? What DVDs should I bring to audition the Sony and Mits with? Please suggest the scenes that I should check out. I heard fast scenes or something with lots of vertical lines while panning left to right would be good content. What type of HDTV programming should I be looking at? thanks! Arv |
