Panasonic CT-36HX42 - Please help
Hello all, new to the forum. Just picked up the Panasonic CT-36HX42 this past weekend. I had read how heavy it was, just didn't think it would be that heavy, if that makes sense. Anyways setup the Panny up and just had some quick questions. I am running a composite (sp?) cable from my DVD to the Composite1 input, everything with that worked out just fine, the DVD's that I have tried look incredible. I have DirectTV (non HDTV receiver). I followed the instructions on how to setup the unit with a DBS receiver and VCR, that seemed to work out just fine. I also have a S-Video cable coming out of my DBS (DirectTV receiver) to the Video1 jack. Here is the gotcha, the picture from the antenna (standard antenna) is excellent, however, the picture from Video1 (DirectTv receiver) is a little grainy. For example, watching football the yard numbers are a little off. I have also tried different channels but it doesn't change. I am obviously new to this and maybe I am doing something wrong. The picture I had with DirectTV before I got the Panny was fine. Is there anything I can try? Should I take the S-video cable out of the picture? I have seen mention of the AVIA DVD setup, would that correct the pixelation issue I am having?
Thank you for any help. Hank |

Both of you, welcome to the forum.
Hank, Check out the FAQ section - 6th one down on the home page. Especially the post "what you need to do with your new HDTV". While you're in the FAQ section, check out all the posts. They are helpful to those new to HDTV.
