Question Panasonic 50" Plasma TV

Purchased Panasonic TH50PHD5UY. Has option for a DVI terminla board , the TY-42STMD.

Have also purchaseed the Zenith HD SAT520 which has a DVI-HDCP input.

Question: Does the DVI board noted above support DVI-HDCP.

Thanks
Richard

hi!
I'm debating between the pioneer 503cmx and the one you've purchased. what made you decide on the panny instead of the pioneer? did you buy the extended warranty? i know the warranty is more of a personal decision, but i'm glad i got it for my rear projection. but i'm not sure if a plasma needs it. it's only $800 for 5 years. please advise

thanks

Went with Panasonic since they manufacyure their own plasma screens and also for other vendors.
Quality of picture and no fan noise
have had now for about a month and very pleased

Hello Rich, have you implemented the DVI terminal board on the plasma and how does it work?

No noticeable improvement in picture. Removed to be able to use full component features. Will wait until DVI/HDCP (or other?) becomes more prevalent.

The reason I was asking is that I have a Sony HD200 with both component and DVI. I was wanting to use the DVI for the HD200 receiver and the component for my DVD. What were the capabilities on the component that you lost by going to DVI?
