Mitsubishi STB

I contacted customer support about 3 weeks ago concerning new satellite STB. I was told point blank that there would NOT be any new satellite STB from Mitsubishi. Although they would not give me a reason it appears to be a power struggle between Mitsubishi (supporting IEEE) and Directv (supporting DVI). In addition I questioned them about adding DVI to ther upcoming "Promise Module" (expected release date early Nov - $995) and was told that there would be IEEE but NO DVI.

I heard

I heard that Mits sold there rights on there STB to Hughe's and the New Hughe's will be basically the Mits SR-HD5. This came from a pretty knowledable salesperson at Tweeter.
