Panasonic PT-AE700 & NEC HT510
One of these 2 Projectors is what I am looking to buy within the next 6 months. I sold my house about 6 months ago and left behind my sony 57" with it.
Anyone have anything positive or negative to say about these 2 babies? ![]()

I have not seen a demo of the NEC, but I have looked at the Panasonic and it projected a very sharp HD image with very vivid colors. Two things that you must keep in the back of your mind when demo-ing projectors: Native resolution and zoom lens specs. The Panasonic is a true widescreen 1280x720 LCD projector. In addition the Panny is one of the first projectors to offer 2x zoom (Very nice indeed if you plan to project a 100+ image with in a limited amount of space). The NEC is a DLP with a native resolution of 1024x576 a fairer comparison would be to compared the Panasonic to a 1280x720 DLP projector such as the Sharp XV-Z2000 which is a bit more than the NEC.
If you’re leaning towards a DLP projector make sure to demo the new ones with the HD2+ 1280x720 DLP chip.
