Akai Pdp5090
I purchased an AKAI PDP5090 PDP ( made by Samsung). The specs list it as 1368 X 768.
When I use a HDTV source with SAMSUNG SIR-T151 and push the display button, it seems to say that the source is always 720 x 480. Any advice please? Is there a way of determining the actual resolution displayed? Is is listed as true HDTV ( and not EDTV as mentioned on some sites). It also does not have a dual tuner but has an amp and external speakers. The quality seems pretty good for the money. |

Follow-up
I checked that as well. Interestingly, the display seems to provide data on source only when the SIR-T151 is connected to the unit via the composite video in and not via s-vhs. Interesting the setup menu of the T151 is viewable only n analog mode ( when using s-vhs in) or again when composite video cable is used.
Overall, the picture quality seems good and it was very reasonably priced. |

You can only get 480i over S-Video or composite. You must use component cables for 720/1080.
