Projector for Hockey

Now that the NHL is back, it is time to buy a projector to watch the games in HDTV. Any recommendations for projectors that excel at displaying the white ice of a hockey rink?

Looks like the ice might be blue - one of many potential rule changes. Also, right now the NHL does not have national TV contract. ESPN passed. NBC has like a dozen games. So, you might want to wait and see...

Ice

The last rumor I heard was they had dropped the blue ice idea. As for ESPN, I'll subscribe to NHL Center Ice the HD package from Dishnetwork. The games in HD may be limited for a while, but the ones that are broadcast will look sweet. Right now I'm looking at MITSUBISHI XD450U, Sony Cineza VPL-HS51 Projector, Samsung SPH700AE, or Optoma H77.

I would consider Hitachi TX-100 720P LCD display on Da-Lite HCCV screen . I have heard of sub $2800 pricing ...

I for one will watch my NHL HDTV games on either Rogers Cable with HDTV PVR or my Bell Expressvu 6000 ....Watch one game tape the other
