I am on the verge of returning my ADVENT TV due to lack of service.
I sent my 30" HT3061A model in for repair August 27, and the repair man still hasn't been able to resolve my image problem. The problem I have is the upper-right / left corners stretch up slightly, and the bottom left corner trails off to the point that CNN and Fox News Channels tickers go off the screen before getting to the side. Know what I mean? Anyways, they got till Monday to come up with a solution or I'm demanding a refund. This has been a painful 3 weeks, too. I'm using a 14" Zenith from the early 90's. dreadful green tinting is killing me. I'm already looking @Sony's, and SlimFit SamSung's. Any idea's? Before you buy ANY of these companies products (i.e.; PRIMA (ADVENT, etc.), INSIGNIA, DAEWOO, APEX, SYLVANIA (blegh)). Get the facts on them. 3 frickin' weeks. I'm gettin' pissed again. |

Steer far, far, far away from these TV's... I purchased the 30-inch widescreen one for $499, thought it'd be a great deal... what a dreadful mistake. Terrible image quality no matter what settings you tried, and my ISF repair tech friend (who inspected the TV free of cost) said it was utter crap.
I returned the TV and dished out the extra $400 dollars for a Sony 30-inch Widescreen Wega HDTV... a WORLD of difference. You have been warned: the Advent 30-inch WS HDTV plain stink. |
