New Xbox 360 News!!!

It has rumored from a highly reliable source at microsoft (Herb Sutter), that developers rushing to have there games make the launch window will by-pass the pitfalls of multiple threads buy not using them. The so called reason for this is because microsoft and developers have yet 2 make software and programs capable of creating and running multi-cored games without having bugs, they say with the multi-threading programs they have now it takes too long to de-bug them, so the launch developers just went with single cored games. The end result won't be bad, because if the launch games are only single cored, then this is just the tip of the iceburg for microsoft, beacuse with there multi-cored games they wil be able to do so much more then what we see right now. This means that as the months progress we will see the same effect on 360 that u see in PCs and the orignal xbox, games will look good now but in 6 months they will look even better because developers will be able to utelize the 360 potential so much better (evolution of gaming), the same were seeing with games like fear and quake 4, they'll keep getting better looking, playing, and sounding as the system gets older. I'm so excited to see how the 360 is at launch!

from what I'm reading the developers are using all 3cores but using 1thread in each core instead of 2, Bizzare (PGR3) has stated they are using all three cores, that's why Ghost Recon,GOWetc have been delayed those Developers are waiting to put thier titles out when they can run all 3cores and 2threads per core for our gaming pleasure.

Maybe I Miss Read ...

Ure right I re-read the article its a problem with having more than 1 thread because the software they have cant fully utilize the technology without bogging it down with bugs, here is the link 2 the 2 websites that talks about it.

I Know What U Mean

Im gonna be getting a 360 probably for my birthday in june, so ill have perfect timing for exactly what ure talking about. Cuz i would get a PS3, but the system gonna be at least $500 as a base model and the games are gonna probably cost $70 a pop, because of the Blu-Ray technology, im mean most games dont need like 54GB of storage. Plus i think this time around 360 has a much better game line-up then the xbox.

Well nobody knows what the PS3 will cost yet,but i would'nt think their games would be more than xbox360,they would be the same.Blu-ray only cost a few bucks more than dvd.

And as for storage true many games may not need that much, but hey...it's there when you need it.It's better to be future ready and have more storage than none at all.Which is one reason why i think microsoft did a bad decision with only using DVD's,they will hurt themselves later on,but i think they will work things out and get used to compression techniques.

Having more storage is very important though considering most DEVs is heard were already filling the DVD's up for xbox360,and as games get more better more space is needed for better graphics and such.

Well if they did do that, it would only be used for movies, NOT GAMES!

Which is kind of a waste since HD-DVD is likely to die very soon,so that would leave the xbox360 with a dead format which is'nt too good. Not to mention you would alienate your whole fanbase since the other xbox360 games that were on DVD9 discs would'nt work by using HD-DVD's.

It's confusing yeah, but it should'nt be a problem as long as the developers can mater compression right. But even that is going to be a pain in and out of itself

HD-DVD format can be used for games as well as movies. The HD-DVD player will be able to play regular DVD discs as well. You would have to update your disk drive on the current 360. gates said that would be an option if it comes to that.

No from what i heard from several gamesites is that it would only be used for movies not gaming,so there really is no point in using it.

It would be used for gaming as well ,the game enchanted for example will ship with 2or3 DVD's with HD-DVD the game would fit on 1 disc.

Another person who agrees with HD-DVD being used for games as well as DVD's. Im sure at first they will use it for movies but eventually like regular Dvd's it will be used for games too.

I know i'm right, since this is pretty much old news,it may be new to some people but to me i knew about it weeks ago.

If xbox360 would have an HD-DVD drive i'm certain it would only be used for watching movies, not storing games.

In fact because of the lack of storage, ES: Oblivion is being delayed untill next year..and i am certain it has to do with space issues with DVD9 discs, since many other games are not making launch either like Full Auto,Ghost Recon,PD0, just to name a few.

Regardless i'm still buying the system anyways just to play games in HD even thopugh the launch titles may be lackluster it does'nt bother me since i know there will be more good games down the line.

well this news is spreading today so you must go to great site please post it, as far as Oblivion I'm hoping it's delayed so they can operate the game on all 6 threads that way we'll be in for a real treat.

Oblivion Delayed

Oblivion has now been delayed til the first quater of 2006, no reason yet 2 why they decided to delay release as of now. You can check out gamespot.com, ign.com, or bethesda's website if u would like 2 read it first hand.

Yeah i saw the article but its not say that they couldnt use HD-DVD for games its because they dont want too which is the stupidiest thing i ever heard but that will change in the coming months. No one wants to keep popping in disc after disc to play one game.
