Sony Dvi Cya

I purchased a SONY 32XBR450 in Jan. Belatedly, I have been boning up on the DVI/Firewire issue and needless to say, am getting more and more miffed.

I didn't remember any caveats in literature reviewed before my purchase, so I went surfing. Low and behold, SONY's recent literature contains the following footnote:

" Hi-Scan 1080i Display: Works through only analog component video (Y/PB/PR) connections. Not compatible with such digital connections as may become available in the future. "

How did I miss that in the six months I spent researching the set??? I didn't, it wasn't there.

Fortunately, I have copies of the original specs without that footnote to be used in the upcoming class action legal suit.
