Haier 42EP24S
Hi, how are you? I bought the 42 ED plasma by Haier from Sears. I guess I'm happy with it. I just don't like the name Haier.
I planned on getting the Panasonic 42PX50U, every store was sold out. Then it was the Panny TH-42PX60U which was coming out next month for $2700. The problem is, I had the money now and I was afraid I would spend it. I was shopping at Sears and we saw the Haier. With an HDTV feed, it looked just as good as the $3000 panasonic HDTV, so I bought it for $1279 (plus tax/open item). It came with no instruction manual or warranty registration which really pizzzzed me off. But besides that, my DVD player looks awsome with the component video cables and the 480 progressive scan. I also surf the web and play on my PC on a 42" plasma with a wireless mouse and keyboard. It's not bad in a 12 by 12 bedroom. I like the TV even though Haier is known for making crappy toasters. Let me know what you think and any tips or warning you can give me about this plasma TV Last edited by Ratman : 03-08-2006 at 08:58 AM. |

Come on dude! I know you like your TV, and you want to justify to yourself that you didn't waste your money buying an ED set, but come on! There's just no way it can look as good as an HD set. Down-rezzing 720P and 1080i progamming to 480P, it's physically impossible for it to compare to an HDTV. Enjoy your TV. Last edited by raff : 03-14-2006 at 08:56 PM. |
