Zenith ZHDTV1 and Amplifier

I live in Western Mass and have a few HDTV OTA Stations nearby, I am considering various antenna and have ordered a Zenith indoor ZHDTV1 (Silver Sensor?) as a standby...Would this antenna do better if hooked to a Channel Master 7777 Pre-Amp, or is this amp designed for Outdoor behemoths? I would like to avoid that option if possible as my wife will go NUTS if I attach a BUA (Big Ugly Antenna) to our house...However I will do it if need be. My main question for now is if the 7777 will boost an indoor like the ZHDTV 1...Thanks!!

Smile Silver Sensor w/ amplifier

Adding an amplifier (RCA VH121 allegedly 20dB UHF) made a huge difference in the number of DTV stations I can pull in with the Silver Sensor.
