Question faint white blink/flicker... Signal, or tv?

I've had this Westinghouse 32 inch LCD tv for about 25-30 days now.... I see this very faint (barely noticeable, but to me I catch everything) blink or flash (white) on the screen on random occassions... I'm not sure if its the signal possibly from insight digital cable, the dvr/hd box, or the tv.... Could someone help me out on this.... Once again, it's not a real noticeable thing unless you are looking for faint blinks..... I just wanted to know if it was the lcd having problems or just simply blips in the signal..

THANKS!

Does it do it with other input sources?

I watched a dvd the other night and it didn't appear to do it.......

But if it is the signal, wouldn't the dvr record the blinking? I went back and rewinded right after a flash/blink and it didn't show it on the re-play...

Could be the STB introducing the problem, not the signal. If you are not seeing it when using another source, it's probably safe to rule the TV out.

What are the fixes for the STB from my local cable provider? Is it something I can fix with a setting or do I need to have them come swap it out? Is this (STB) the most likely cause to the faint flickering? I read something somewhere that said Westinghouse tv's are flicker-free, plus doing my own personal tests do make me think its probably not the tv...

STB help....

I need to know if there is any way to fix my flicker problem... It's not real bad, but apparently it is the STB from what I've read and learned.... Can I change some kind of setting or what???

- HOPEFULLY ITS THE STB!!!!

Swap it with another one from your cable company, maybe you have a defective unit...
